Centre:mk 'A Little More'

We created a fashion lovers' dream restaurant for centre:mk’s AW26 multi-channel campaign. 

Using a dessert menu as a metaphor for shopping, the brief was to capture the anticipation and temptation associated with the simple act of ordering a little more. Browsing a dessert menu needed to connect with audiences and highlight the pleasure we get from looking even if we don’t end up buying, a reminder to existing customers why they love visiting center:mk. 

Seb Gillmore was the perfect choice to deliver on the intimate and intense 30s fashion ad, which needed to strike a balance between commercial and editorial. Adding his own spin on the script, Seb decided to inject an element of surrealism where the protagonist sees the items of clothing darting around the restaurant as she runs her finger over the menu items.

Seb called on Production Designer Jade Rache to recreate a contemporary yet traditionally refined restaurant dining room in a deco assembly hall in the  Grade II listed Hornsey Town Hall. Working with DP Luke Dryden, the team leaned on natural light and autumnal accents to set the right tone for the season.

Photographer Alex Rorison worked in tandem with the TVC team to deliver 4 key visuals and a bank of BTS for centre:mk’s print magazine. 

The synergy between Seb and the client & agency’s vision was clear from the start which resulted in an extremely smooth post production process and a polished final TV, Cinema  and stills campaign that everyone was thrilled with.
